Private tour or shore excursion with Tickets, knowledgable personal chauffeur-guide
in an executive vehicle from London, LHR or Southampton cruise ship terminal.
My family and i live minutes from Hampton Court and we like to walk along and swim in the river Thames and bird watching in nearby Bushy Park. We also enjoy seeing flower shows, concerts and plays like ‘The Six’ inside the palace.
On this private tour you and your entourage will be chauffeured to and accompanied around two magnificent palaces by your experienced local guide.
Arriving at Hampton Court you will see the beautiful river setting where courtiers in Tudor times once arrived on royal barges downstream from London. We will see the maze, the stunning Privy and Rose gardens nearby and the king’s Heraldic Beasts when we cross the moat to the ancient oak Great Gatehouse.
Inside the palace you will explore the home of Henry VIII, his wives and children. You will see why this was his favourite residence and experience life within the Tudor court. This was his pleasure palace and he did not much time for ruling so he took to feasting, tennis and jousting. You can see his Great Hall, royal chapel, kitchens, tennis courts and gardens.
Later this was also the home of monarchs William III as well as the Georgians. The palace apartments contains many artefacts and artworks including tapestries, furniture and paintings.
From here you will follow the Thames river towards Windsor and its majestic surroundings. We will pass by the ancient place in the meadow where the Great Charter was sealed as well as the palace where Anglo-Saxons once held court. Inside Windsor Castle we will talk about some of the history of the fortress built by the first Norman king and how successive monarchs have made their presence felt here through the eclectic architecture, landscapes, memorials, artefacts and art. You will be escorted through the upper ward into the State Apartments and see some of the art of the Royal Collection within. In the lower ward you will step inside St George’s chapel which is a masterpiece of medieval architecture. Inside this royal chapel you will be impressed by the Gothic fan vaulting and stained glass see final resting place of knights and monarchs including Queen Elizabeth II and her ancestors.
This is a 10 hour private tour. As such it is recommended you start at 9 am from London & at 8 am from Southampton as there is much to see.
Please note this tour is not available on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays due to closures. St George’s chapel is closed on Sunday.
This tour can start at all London hotels, LHR, LGW, and at Southampton cruise ship terminal.

Okay, so we typically don’t take tours, but this one was absolutely AWESOME!!!!! Nick made the trip, he knew how to take care of us, when to talk, when to move us along, when to let us be. We loved his excitement for what he was doing. Thanks for making our best day of our holiday
